We have recently spent a lot of time talking to Fy! customers and one of the most consistent feedback has been around the varying quality of artwork on the platform. 

To address this, we've launched a new initiative to improve overall quality by introducing a manual approval process for all artwork submissions. This includes removing artwork and shops that don’t meet our standards.

What's changing in August 2025

Starting in August 2025, you’ll see three new artwork status categories in your Fy! portal:

• Waiting for Approval – Newly uploaded artwork waiting for review. These will not be visible to customers until approved.
• Published – Artwork that meets our quality standards and is now live on the platform.
• Rejected – Artwork that didn’t meet our criteria
• Unpublished - Artwork you've decided to remove from your shop.

The Review process

When you upload a new artwork, it will first appear as Pending Approval. Our team will manually review each submission to ensure it meets our quality standards. While pending, the artwork will not appear on the customer-facing site.

If approved, the artwork will move to the Approved section and be published on Fy!, where customers can view and purchase it.

If the artwork is rejected, it will appear in the Rejected tab. While we don’t provide individual feedback for each rejected piece, here are the most common reasons for rejection:

• NSFW or inappropriate content
• Poor-quality or low-effort AI-generated artwork
• Copyright infringement (including use of registered trademarks)
• Uploading mockups instead of original artworks
• Submitting non-original or marketplace products

Important: Repeated rule violations may result in the removal of your shop or artwork from Fy!. We understand this may seem strict, but our goal is to ensure the highest quality experience for our customers and to celebrate original, creative work.

Alternatively, if your submissions consistently meet our standards, you may eventually be exempt from manual review. This means your artwork will be published automatically. (This is already the case for some artists who were invited to Fy! directly.)

Please be aware that the review process may take several days or even weeks, depending on volume. We're a small team, but we’ll do our best to keep things moving quickly — we appreciate your understanding and patience!
